The news that MULTILIFT is transforming its factory is good news for everyone. The Finnish factory that manufactures Canada’s most popular truck-mounted hooklifts is embarking on a major overhaul of its production facilities. The modernization and the meaning behind it are both impressive.v

It’s easy to see from the rendering that Multilift is thinking about the future. But it’s what’s inside that counts: increased production capacity, greater operational efficiency, reduced emissions, improved safety and comfort for employees, and a shiny new showroom to show off the world’s #1 truck-mounted hooklifts.

The benefits of increased production capacity are obvious. Multilift truck-mounted hooklifts are in increasing demand around the world and here in Canada for over 40 years. Scalability supports future growth. The benefits of increased efficiency are obvious, as are the benefits of safer, happier, more comfortable working conditions.

What’s less obvious is the important move Multilift is making toward a carbon-neutral production environment. Sustainability and energy efficiency are at the core of the EUR 19 million investment, supporting Multilift’s and HIAB’s climate commitments and creating a more resilient manufacturing site.

New energy-efficient solutions will significantly reduce energy consumption. The Raisio, Finland site will increase energy use from its own processes, combined with solar power and battery storage solutions to replace traditional heating systems, embrace a modern, circular energy approach and create a future-ready facility that’s good for the company, for the environment, for you, for us, for everyone.

The construction is contracted. The modernization is moving forward. And the new Multilift
‘Factory of the Future’ is expected to be completed late 2027.
