SWITCH TO HIAB GIVES LONG-TERM RENTALS RELIABILITY

HIAB truck from Mackenzie Glass

For UK-based truck rental firm Driveline GB Ltd., switching to HIAB cranes made a lot of sense. Many of their vehicles go out on long-term rentals. Crane and truck equipment that delivers lasting, long-term reliability and versatility was an obvious choice for Driveline GB’s long-term goals and those of its customers. From engineering to finish and after-sales support, HIAB is well known for those benefits.

The enhanced safety features of HIAB cranes also prompted Driveline to change equipment providers. HIAB’s SPACEevo™ sensor safety system, combined with smart technology and XSDrive™ remote control, goes beyond optimized productivity and more daily lifts. They work together to minimize potential accidents and allow for live safety monitoring, even during transport. These features were a big plus for Mackenzie Glass, the recipient of the first package – an X-HiDUO 228E-2 articulating crane mounted to a Volvo FM420 chassis – from their new partnership with HIAB.

If that wasn’t enough, HIAB’s Semi-Automatic Folding (SAF) feature tipped the scales for Driveline GB. With it, a single lever automatically and safely controls unfolding and folding, replacing the operator’s need to perform swing, tilt, lift and extension movements. Fast and easy to use, Driveline knew this automated feature would save time, reduce operator fatigue and reduce risks to the equipment and surroundings. Watch SAF in action.

The HIAB X-HiDUO 228E-2 and Volvo truck package was delivered to Mackenzie Glass earlier this month. Driveline GB is looking to send out more of these packages for long-term rentals as it reinforces its promise to provide its customers with long-term equipment reliability.
