The new HIAB iX.298 HiDUO truck-mounted crane gets its name from its advanced intelligence SPACEevo (SPACE evolution) control system technology. iX.298 models (EP-3, EP-5, E-7, and E-8) have an advanced sensor safety system paired with cutting-edge engine control technologies, a V200 Valve and first and second boom systems for smoother, faster, more efficient operation, increased capacity, optimized reach and more lifts each day.

Constant power and optimized reach

The iX.298 HiDUOs' E-link with X feature system ensures constant power and maximum capacity close to the column—perfect for hard-to-access spaces. Their P-boom system requires fewer extensions in a sequence, reducing the total weight of the boom for greater capacity and productivity. Advanced high-tensile steel construction is lightweight with superior strength to maximize payloads. Lift 1460 kg to 15 metres or 1200 kg to 17.3 m with the iX.298 HiDUO EP-5 model. The E-8 has a reach of 25.1 m.

Remarkable fuel efficiency

The new HIAB iX.298 HiDUO truck crane has a unique Start/Stop function, and Dynamic RPM automatically stops your truck engine when it is not in use and dynamically adjusts RPM based on power demands, saving energy and delivering remarkable fuel efficiency.

Standard features beyond the norm

HIAB iX.298 HiDUO articulating cranes' XSDrive™ ergonomic radio remote control lets you handle over 30 different functions—many simultaneously— to get your job done safer, faster and smarter. They feature a V200 valve for optimized precision, LED work lights on the boom, an external display, and an aluminum oil tank. Standard, but way beyond the norm, is the Boom Deployment Assistant (BDA), which monitors angle and position during folding and unfolding to minimize operator error, and HIAB SPA, which makes lifting and moving heavy, bulky objects (like a spa) even easier.

Options that make your deliveries even safer and easier

A vertical Load Stability System (LSSV), X-Feature Override, Easy-Tilt 180-degree stabilizer legs and a Variable Stability Limit system (VSL), which monitors leg extension and pressure and automatically adjusts capacity to ensure your crane stays within safety limits, are all optional features for the iX.298 HiDUO that can add capability, further protect your loads and add layers of safety and stability. Hose and pipe kits, HIAB 4-in-1 Multicoupling and a two-tonne Rotzler winch, complete with 150 feet of 10 mm rotation-resistant wire rope, boom tip roller and load hook, are also available.
