The iX.138 HiDUO is one of HIAB’s new medium-range intelligent next-generation truck-mounted cranes. What does that mean? Intelligent features that keep the load stable and boost capacity when you need it most. Advanced SPACEevo control that delivers more precise movements, faster operations without compromising safety, and a new Start/Stop function that shuts down the truck engine when it’s not in use, saving fuel and wear and tear. It means improved performance, enhanced safety features, and a maximized payload. It means a high-performance V200 control valve, adding speed and upping precision. It’s lighter, stronger, and perfectly balanced, ideal for on-off loading, building materials, and applications where maximum capacity adds maximum value. What’s more, it’s a HiDUO, HIAB’s reliable, responsive remote-control system with XSDrive radio remote control.

Reach, capacity and control

Reach and capacity need absolute control, and the HiDUO system reliably provides it. The ability to perform multiple actions at the same time and responsive lever movements enable fast load cycles and full control over your load and stability with every lift. Fifteen-foot hydraulic outriggers and a factory-fitted base-mounted oil tank add to that solid footing. The iX.138B-3 has a powerful 3,950 kg (8,710 lb) lift capacity near the column. Lift 1,048 kg (2,310 lb) at full horizontal reach of 10.6 m (34’9”) with the iX.138’s three hydraulic extensions. The iX.138E-5 has five hydraulic extensions, lifts 4,200 kg close-in and 560 kg at full 15.1 m reach.

HIAB XSDrive and a V200 valve add to the iX.138 HiDUO’s excellent control. The XSDrive two-way remote control lets you move around the crane to find the best position for loading or unloading. It provides fingertip control of 24 proportional functions and up to seven easy on/off functions, and is simple to operate, even when wearing gloves. The V200 hydraulic control valve supports high oil flow, maintaining precise control, consistent performance and faster, smoother working cycles. It also incorporates an emergency start/stop button to shut down the truck when not in use, resulting in significant fuel savings. An external display makes monitoring easy.

So many available options

The iX.138 HiDUO truck crane has many available options to customize your HIAB to your business’s unique needs. Easy-tilt outriggers feature gas-spring assist that allows them to tilt up to 180 degrees, creating more room for equipment and improving ground clearance. Fifth- and sixth-function hose reel and pipe kits with quick-connects make it easy to add multi-action attachments and specialized tools. A multicoupler simultaneously performs those functions in a single operation. A single, factory-added LED spotlight on the second boom and a relay box with eight outputs complete this list.

The iX.138 can also be adapted with optional advanced HIAB LSS-V, BDA, SAF, and SIS technologies. More than just letters, they’re powerful safety and performance features. LSS-V is HIAB’s Vertical Load Stability system for even greater stability and faster lifting and lowering with no bounce. BDA stands for Boom Deployment Assistance and does just that, helping to safely unfold the crane. SAF, or Semi-Automatic Folding, allows your HIAB to fold and unfold with a single lever for increased safety and efficiency. And SIS (Stability in Slewing) reduces lifting capacity when the boom is rotated in less stable areas.
