Developed to respond to customer needs for a powerful crane with a compact design, the HIAB XS 855 offers increased speed and flexibility while improving productivity. With a smaller installation height and greater outreach than the 800, the XS 855 meets your needs for high performance in a reduced size.
The XS 855 includes some very impressive features. Its 80 tonne metre capacity makes it the second biggest crane in the HIAB fleet. Ten hydraulic extensions and six in the EP configuration boom system – provide a long outreach for a crane of this size. Combining the E–8 with a Jib 145X provides a reach of over 30 metres. Add a Jib 175X to the E–6 or E–7 to get even more power.
E–link and X–link functions increase power and flexibility. Optional dual–capacity jibs (JDC) improve capacity when the outer most extension is not in use. Extensions are faster, thanks to new extension cylinders and a regenerative load holding valve. Like the 1055, the XS 855 uses soft–sealed fittings. Easy to change, these fittings reduce the risk of leaks, while standing up to vibration and high pressure.
In addition to the exciting new innovations in this crane, the XS 855 includes all of the standard features unique to HIAB cranes: Automatic Speed Control, Pump Flow Distribution, HiPro controls, the SPACE 5000 Intelligence System, and the HIAB Valve 91 – the ultimate in hydraulic valve technology. Altogether, these features increase safety and help you achieve maximum performance.
