Shouldice Designer Stone celebrated 50 years in business in 1997. This family-owned business was founded by W.B. Shouldice and his wife Dorothy in Shallow Lake, Ontario and today, manufactures and distributes designer stone and architectural stone products throughout Canada and the U.S.A.. Continually improving service, the firm has recently added two Moffett Mounty forklifts to their delivery fleet for residential, commercial and industrial customers.
Rob Shouldice, the President explained that he first saw the Mounty demonstrated at local trade shows and fairs. His decision to choose the Mounty rested on the fact that "the Mounty had a good name as a dependable forklift." Rob was also impressed with the good service support available for Mounty customers. "I get a weekly report on the maintenance of our equipment here and I am pleased with the Mounty performance."
Shouldice Designer Stone are switching to super B trains that are too long to store the Mounty at the back and still be within legal length regulations. As a result, both Mounty forklifts are mounted on the decks of the trailers using a simple kit. This top mount kit allows the Mounty to be placed on top of the trailer quickly and efficiently.
For deliveries in rough ground Rob Shouldice considers the Mounty simply the best for their product and conditions. "The Mounty is ideal for stonework deliveries outside of homes. We can now get the biggest trucks, park them on the road, and let the Mounty do the work around the homes delivering cubes of Shouldice Designer stone."
"A beautiful product like Designer Stone should only be handled by a beautiful machine. The Moffett and Designer form a perfect marriage in this regard".
