- How deep can the Hydrorake system go?

- How much can the Hydrorake system lift?

- What types of debris can the Hydrorake system lift?

- What rack angle can you accommodate?
ST8000- Vertical to 30° (12° to 15°

DT8300- Vertical to 30° (10° to 15°

- Are special racks required?
No special racks are required, however they
need to be in good condition.
- How does the Hydrorake system operate?
The unit is designed to imitate the steps
performed by an individual manually raking
the intake racks.
- Is it an automated trash raking system?
Yes, it is a fully automated system with a
built-in manual override. It is capable of
continuous operation, timed start operation
and remote initiation.
- How wide an intake can you clean?
On the ST8000 model the cleaning head is 31/2
feet wide and can be indexed along any length
of intake. Similar to the ST8000 model, the
DT8300 model can be indexed along any length
of intake with a cleaning head width of 6
feet.
- Will the Hydrorake break through ice?
The unit is not designed to break ice, however
the weight of the boom system will break through
thin surface ice
- What type of electrical supply is required to operate
the Hydrorake?
3 phase power, 60 hz, 220, 440 or 600 volts
with an amperage available from 40 to 100
amps is the standard requirement. It can also
accommodate 220 V single phase supplies.
- What types of flow can you accommodate?
Up to 3 ft/sec approach velocity perpendicular
to the trashrack width. Higher flows and angles
are possible and are taken on an individual
basis
- What is included with a Hydrorake Trashraking System?
A complete self contained turn-key package.
Experienced Atlas Polar personnel install
and test equipment on site. Only the electrical
power supply to the equipment is required.
- Where can I find parts and service for my new Hydrorake
system?
Atlas Polar has an extensive technical support
system. Experienced personnel provide phone
technical support. The Hydrorake systems are
a standard design. Most parts are available
off the shelf and can be shipped out the same
day.
- How does the equipment operate in a harsh environment?
Our control panel and unit are equipped with
heaters to protect them from freezing during
the winter months. Our exterior enclosures
are all N4 quality and can be equipped with
an exhaust fan and /or heat shields.
- What
other optional equipment is available for
the Hydrorake System?
A transporter/spillway system for trash removal.
Automatically operated in conjuction with
raking unit, this system pushes debris to
either side of the deck for short distance
easy disposal. A conveyor system is also available
for trash removal.
- What other cleaning systems do you manufacture?
If you simply want to keep your screens clean,
the Hydrobrush system is for you. Unlike the
Hydrorake raking system which deposits the
debris on the deck, the model ST8100 Hydrobrush
simple keeps the debris moving.
